Chicken pox appears to be over - in the end I think we got off quite lightly. George had a few on his head and round his willy, Lucy had a good covering over her back & torso and a few on her face and Amelia probably had them the worst, pretty much all over with some massive ones on her face. The really big ones on the girls were practically black in the middle and horrible looking. The girls could have itch-relieving gel and piriton and other than having a rough night each, were absolutely fine. George didnt even have so much as a rough night - just took it in his stride - you would not have known there was anything wrong with the happy little monkey! Lucy has got some nasty scabs pulling now - she calls each one a 'pock' as i guess she thinks she has chicken pocks, 'pocks' being the plural of pock! so cute!
He is at the stage where he wants to be stood up all the time, and just wants to put everything in his mouth - even though he cont properly use his hands to get stuff in there! I actually think there may be a little bit of teething going on - but we will see. Amelia & Lucy are still utterly fabulous with him - and he just adores them - his biggest smiles are for them.
Amelia has gone back into school well - she likes her new teachers and her reading has gone from strength to strength over the summer - it is amazing - so expressive! I also think she is liking the ammount of desk work they are doing - its more like proper school for her.
Lucy was fine going back to playschool - I had expected tears and a bit of a battle, but she goes in happily and enjoys it - though i still have to bring a treat for after! They are gradually getting smaller and less treat-y but to be honest, I am so relieved she likes it that I dont care what she eats after!!!

Chicken Pox
Jack came down with chicken pox while we were on holiday in Bacton - he had it quite badly, loads of spots and really miserable :(
Lucy came down with it on Monday when i noticed a few spots on her back - to be honest, if I hadnt have just seen Jack's spots, I might not have thought anything of it! Since then, a few have come out, about 10 in two days - she seems to have a very mild dose and is absolutley fine in herself - I caught her climbing the bathroom radiator at bedtime!
Amelia is desperate to have them and has insisted on some of the itch relieve gel on a 'spot' which has turned out not to be chicken-related. However George has three suspicious looking spots :( We think he might have it - just hope its as mild as Lucy's.
Amelia is back at school with her new class and new teachers and is loving it so far. There is more desk work, which she quite likes. She read her reading book in recored time with full expressions - just brilliant - I am so so proud of what a little star she is!
