Pooh Squeezes

Is it right that a 2 year 9 month old child can fake squeezing out a pooh? It is even more wrong that her 1 year old sister has learnt to do this too!! Though in the video below, Amelia apparently couldn't go!!

Disgusting children. They both know its incredibly funny too! Lucy has also learnt to dive on the floor when she is being chased and rolls around laughing. I love how she copies her big sister and wants to do whatever she is doing and even tries to put on her clothes!!

Lucy had a jab today and screamed the place down - Amelia got a bit upset too as Lucy rarely cries like that - but some stickers from the nurse sorted them out - Amelia is now slightly concerned about her swine flu jab in a few weeks so we are playing it down.

'I've got a jab soon. But I'll be brave!' - she said this to the nurse today!!

Lucy's Shoes!

Lucy finally has her own shoes! After a week with us all being ill (suspected norovirus) we finally went out and got the lovliest little black patent shoes, with little flowers. They are so like Amelia's first pair - its spooky! Well she loves getting them on and is very impressed with them - we have been out in the garden this morning - trying to make a dent in all the work that needs doing and she had a whale of a time - she loves the independence of walking!

Lucy Shoes

No... not proper shoes.. little baby shoes. For the past few days Lucy has wanted to sit on the stairs next to Amelia when she is having her shoes put on...and wants to wear some ofAmelia's too. Then I remembered a bag of gorgeous baby shoes sitting upstairs..that neither of them would ever keep on as babies, some of them fit Lucy now as she has very small feet..and she was so impressed to have them on - now she keeps crawling to the stairs to sit there and have them put on! Its very very cute.
Took her to the Doctors yesterday as she just hasnt been right for ages and though we have been putting it down to teething - she isnt indicating that her mouth hurts anymore. Turns out she has an ear infection and has antibiotics. I feel terrible that I didnt take her before :( but today she is like a different child, just brighter in every way..back to terrorising poor Amelia! Thank goodness. And she has learned her first animal noise too - she can officially 'growl' like a dog - and do it when she sees one in a book! Got to get it on video!!

The Grape thieves

Today was the normal Tesco run. Pretty uneventful other than Amelia insulting my driving on the way home. As I turned a corner she blamed me for dropping her toy and said I was a horrible driver. When asking where she had hear how to say that, she replied 'Daddy said it. Daddy said you are a rubbish parker'!!! Clearly Duncan must have said this!!! Its ridiculous what she remembers!

When we got in, I took some bags straight into the kitchen and started unpacking. The girls were playing in the lounge but gradually moved into the hall where the rest of the shopping bags were. I could hear Lucy start to rustle in the bags. I thought I had foiled her as I had already moved the spring onions - her usual favourite - so I went and put the freezer stuff away. When I came back in, I heard 'Heres one for you Lucy - and one for me' so went to investigate. They were sitting in the hall, the bag of grapes between them, merrily scoffing away..with Amelia being a very good big sister and getting them for her sister. When they realised they were caught - angelic grins came out and Amelia told me that Lucy had found them but couldnt get them open on her own!!! It was just so cute that I had to take photos and laugh. Complete unashamed terrors!! The only bad point is that Lucy is a messy grape eater, she basically puts the whole thing in her mouth, bites it, sucks it dry and spits out the rest..so the carpet was fairly gross!!
